Programme for ages 3–12. Developing inquiry, thinking and communication skills through conceptual learning.
International Talent Academy is a candidate school for authorization for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are striving to become an IB World School, providing primary students with quality and modern international education.
IB World Schools share a common philosophy — a commitment to high-quality, challenging educational programmes that we believe are important for student development.
Only schools authorized by the IB can offer one or more of the programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP) or Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted.
Primary Years Programme (PYP) is the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum designed for students aged 3–11. It aims to develop curiosity, independence and inquiry skills in primary school students.
PYP supports a holistic approach to learning, helping children make connections between different subjects and the real world. The programme takes into account each child's individual characteristics, allowing them to follow an individual development track to fully realise their potential.
The PYP is designed for students aged 3 to 12 and aims to develop curiosity, independence and inquiry skills in children.
Develops an inquiry-based approach to learning in the classroom and beyond.
Is based on six transdisciplinary themes that connect knowledge and skills from six subject areas.
Includes the development of transdisciplinary skills that contribute to a holistic view of the world.
Emphasises the importance of inquiry and practical application of knowledge in real life.
Helps students develop global thinking and understanding of different cultures.
Aims to develop critical thinking, collaboration and reflection as key components of the learning process.
In the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), agency is the capacity of students to take responsibility for their learning, express their views, make informed choices and take action. This approach recognises that children are not passive recipients of knowledge but active participants in their own learning.
Agency is central to the PYP and defines how students engage in learning, make decisions and take responsibility for their actions.
Students express their ideas, opinions and questions, contributing to the learning process.
They have the opportunity to make decisions about what and how to learn within given parameters.
They apply what they have learned in real life, initiating change in their environment and community.
Qualities that the IB programme develops in every student

We thoughtfully consider the world and our own ideas and experience. We work to understand our strengths and weaknesses in order to support our learning and personal development.
We nurture our curiosity, developing skills for inquiry and research. We know how to learn independently and with others. We learn with enthusiasm and sustain our love of learning throughout life.
We develop and use conceptual understanding, exploring knowledge across a range of disciplines. We engage with issues and ideas that have local and global significance.
We use critical and creative thinking skills to analyse and take responsible action on complex problems. We exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions.
We show empathy, compassion and respect. We have a commitment to service, and we act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around us.
We critically appreciate our own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. We seek and evaluate a range of points of view, and we are willing to grow from the experience.
We approach uncertainty with forethought and determination; we work independently and cooperatively to explore new ideas and innovative strategies. We are resourceful and resilient in the face of challenges and change.
We express ourselves confidently and creatively in more than one language and in many ways. We collaborate effectively, listening carefully to the perspectives of other individuals and groups.
We act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences.
